I'm a Creative Director who's spent 20 years working to build brands, tell stories and grow business for a wide variety of clients both large and small. I think big (even on the small stuff) learn quickly, adapt easily and know the best work is still to come. 

I am a creative leader with over 20 years experience in advertising, branding, design and innovation who strives to make things of value. I am interested in the intersection of communication, technology, community and environment. My goal is to work with businesses, causes and people who are seeking to make the world a better place.

VP Creative, Phelps — 2012–2017

I led all creative efforts at Phelps, a 90 person independent integrated marketing communications agency in Playa Vista, CA.

I played a leadership role in a number of new business wins including SoCalGas,, Natrol, Macerich Corporation, American Licorice and Los Angeles World Airports (LAX).

In addition to creating compelling and effective integrated marketing campaigns, I help clients harness the power of transformative technology. On a weekly and monthly basis, I led agency-wide seminars on topics ranging from networked communication and creativity, to the maker movement and social entrepreneurship.

StartWith is a brand consultancy dedicated to building launchpads for purpose-driven companies, organizations and people. We specialize in identity, design and marketing for deserving clients such as Community Corp. of Santa Monica, RIE Corporation, Park Century School, Santa Monica Bike Share, and the Children’s Art Insitute.

VP Creative Director, Dentsu America — 2009-2012

I was creative lead for the Los Angeles office of Dentsu America and collaborated on strategic and marketing efforts with the Manhattan office, Attik, 360i, Firstborn and Dentsu Tokyo.

Throughout my tenure, I maintained a strong new business track record with numerous high-profile wins including Union Bank, Hästens Beds and Public Storage.

I am an avid cyclist (mountain and road), trail runner, climber and surfer who prefers open skies to overhead lighting.
