Hi, I’m Brad Gantt, a creative leader who creates meaningful connections with words and images. I’ve had the privilege of working with incredibly talented partners, collaborators, and teams over the years, but I am also comfortable being a one-man band (unless it involves actual singing).

I’ve done big-budget-shoot-in-a-distant-land campaigns, led international teams of creatives, sold $100,000 mattresses, and pitched to C-suite executives at Fortune 200 companies, but I really dig grassroots, bootstrapped, sweat equity, duct tape and bailing wire projects. I look for simple solutions and express them in a way that communicates and connects. And if it’s funny, well that’s even better.

I’ve also been on the other side of the fence, designing, packaging, and bringing a CPG product to market in over 5,000 Walmart and CVS locations. The product, tooktake, was invented (and patented) by my amazing wife, Leeanna. This crazy rollercoaster ride, along with my deep agency and studio owner experience gives me an unusually broad perspective. In other words, I know the work has to work, and I know what works.

And hey, if everything goes pear-shaped, I’m also a certified meditation teacher, so I can help everyone bliss out, dump the stress, and get back in the saddle.

WORK HISTORY

  • Startwith is my creative studio. I’ve worked with grassroots nonprofits, startups, and name brands on projects ranging from branding and brand strategy to advertising, copywriting, product, and packaging design.

  • I designed the product, and packaging and develop all marketing for tooktake, a simple reminder and tracking system for medication, supplements, and anything else you need to take to get well and stay well.

    Tooktake is available in over 5,000 retail locations nationwide and all major pharmacy wholesale distributors.

  • I led the creative arm of The Hoxby Collective comprised of multi-disciplinary creatives from around the world.

    Additionally, I interviewed and approved applicants for creative positions with the Hoxby team.

    Hoxby is made up of a curated community of over 200 freelance associates across 17 countries with sector expertise in multiple industries.

    We provided specialist teams to deliver client work across marketing, sales, finance, HR, legal, and admin.

    Clients included: Comic Relief, Penguin Random House, World Vision, Ted Baker, Moneyfarm, Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Organix

  • I led creative efforts at Phelps, a 90-person independent integrated marketing communications agency in Playa Vista, CA. I played a leadership role in many new business wins including SoCalGas, Realtor.com, Natrol, Macerich Corporation, City of Hope, American Licorice, and Los Angeles World Airports (LAX).

    In addition to creating compelling integrated marketing campaigns, I help clients harness the power of transformative technology. On a weekly and monthly basis, I led agency-wide seminars on topics ranging from networked communication and creativity to the maker movement and social entrepreneurship.

    Additional account experience includes: Whole Foods Market, Public Storage, Maya Group, Aramark, Panasonic, Valvoline Instant Oil Change, Z-Pizza, Monrovia, The Macerich Corporation, Dunn Edwards, Bosley & Tahiti Tourism

  • I was the creative lead for the Los Angeles office of Dentsu America and collaborated on strategic and marketing efforts with the Manhattan office, Attik, 360i, Firstborn, and Dentsu Tokyo.

    Throughout my tenure, I maintained a strong new business track record with numerous high-profile wins including Union Bank, Hästens Beds, and Public Storage.

    Specific account experience includes: Union Bank, American Licorice (Redvines, Sour Punch Straws), Hästens Beds, Public Storage, Microsoft, Canon, Sutter Home Wines, Japan Airlines, Toyota, Bandai Toys, International Motorcycle Shows Bradford Gantt.

    In addition to domestic accounts, I led efforts across Asia, Europe, and South America.

  • I helped to grow Colby from a boutique creative agency with less than 25m in sales to more than 400m with numerous new business wins and work for a wide range of clients including Suzuki automotive and motorcycles, Gold’s Gym, Warehouse Music,

  • Created award-winning campaigns for Lexus, America West Airlines, Yonex, Partnership for a Drug-Free America, and Boston Market
